Site Navigation Guide

Greetings, and welcome to the Electric Industry Service Bureau - Pension, Health & Welfare, and Retirement Savings Plan Benefits Website. In designing this site, we have attempted to make it as easy as possible for you to access the information you need. Finding what you're looking for shouldn't be a hassle: this guide will help you figure out what the site contents are, and how to navigate around the site.

How to Find Information:

There are two ways to find the information you need.

Browse - The first method is to go to the relevant section in the site contents or features and browse until you find what you're looking for. This is a good navigational method if you want information on a general topic and then want to "drill down" to find more detail on a topic which interests you. Following is a description of the site contents and how to get to them, which should help you determine in what area of the site you wish to start browsing in.
Search - This method is preferable if you are looking for a specific piece of information. To search for a word or phrase, click 'Search Site' on the top menu, type the phrase into the search box, and press "Submit".

BROWSER TIP: If you are browsing around (for example) the Pension BenefitTabs™, how can you find out more about one of the underlined terms (e.g. Current Service Benefit) without losing your place within the BenefitTabs?

The easiest way to handle this procedure is to right click on the underlined link or button and choose "Open in New Window" or "New Tab" from the context menu. This will open a new browser window or tab containing the linked web page. When you are done reading this information (or following other links in the new window/tab), just close this window/tab and go back to your original view which is unchanged.

Site contents:

The primary means of navigation around the site is the menu in blue on the left side of your screen. You will be able to reach all of the major content sections from this menu, and from there you can browse down to the specific type of information you are looking for.

	Under Health: Benefit Tabs: Health benefits information. This is a good place to start browsing. It has ultra-concise descriptions of your health benefits and allows you to "drill down" into the more detailed descriptions contained in the summary plan description (SPD). Click on the tabs near the top of the page to reach the section you are interested in. Find Network Provider: Links to insurance companies' online search functions. SPD: Health Plan Summary Plan Description. The table of contents lists all major document headings; you can click on the underlined links within the pages to find more information about any topic. FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions about your health plan. Questions about eligibility, prescriptions, self-pay, claims, and dental benefits are addressed in a question and answer format. To navigate, select the FAQ topic you are interested in from the FAQ menu at the top of each page. Forms: Printable health plan forms, brochures, claim forms, and so forth. Health Links: External links of general interest pertaining to health issues.
	*Under Pension:* Benefit Tabs: Pension benefits information. Click on the tab heading of the section you are interested in for more information. SPD: Pension Plan Summary Plan Description. The table of contents lists all major document headings; you can click on the underlined links within the pages to find more information about any topic. FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions about the pension plan. To navigate, select the FAQ topic you are interested in from the FAQ menu at the top of each page. Forms: Printable pension plan forms, brochures, application forms, and so forth. Links: Links pertaining to pension issues.
	*Under Retirement Savings:* Benefit Tabs: Pension benefits information. Click on the tab heading of the section you are interested in for more information. SPD: Pension Plan Summary Plan Description. The table of contents lists all major document headings; you can click on the underlined links within the pages to find more information about any topic. FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions about the pension plan. To navigate, select the FAQ topic you are interested in from the FAQ menu at the top of each page. 	*Under General:* Vacation: The frequently asked questions provides a list of questions you might have and the answers to your questions. Select a question and you will be brought to the appropriate answer. Reciprocity: Links to sections on Reciprocity within the various Plan SPDs. LMCC: Coming Soon.

About - This section provides information on EISB and describes its particular functions.

News/Announcements - News items that have appeared on the home page are archived here.

Life Events - If you want to browse the site by events which may occur in your life, this is the place to start. From the dramatic (birth, death, marriage) to the mundane (unemployment, moving, retirement planning) this section will summarize how your benefits are affected. You can link from here to the pertinent sections within the site, link to external sites which you may find useful in dealing with the event, and some notes on financial planning issues which may be raised by the event in your life. Contact - This page contains contact information for EISB. Phone numbers, addresses - all the information you need to get in touch with the Plan if you have questions or requests!

Trust Information - Information about the trust, trustees, office addresses, and so forth.

Site Map - A complete index of all site contents.

Home - Clicking anywhere on the EISB banner will bring you directly back to the home-page.

BROWSER TIP: You may be wondering what the functional difference is between the "Back" and "Forward" buttons on the browser toolbar and the "Chapter Top-Previous-Next-Contents" navigation bar at the top and bottom of each page in the Online summary plan booklet.

The browser toolbar buttons will cycle you back and forth amongst the web pages you have actually viewed during your current session. The navigation bar buttons will take you to the preceding or next page within the particular document you are reading, and the "Contents" link will bring up the Table of Contents for that document, and the "Chapter Top" will take you to the top of the current chapter you are viewing.
